I’m thrilled to have Haleh Nematzadeh featured in the November 2010 Creame mag editorial entitled “London Bridge is Falling”. A neo-elizabithean, layered princess mideval look. A whole other interpretation of 2 glow in the dark pieces. This is why I adore editorials, they make you think bigger, dress dreamier, and elevate your wardrobe consciousness to new dimensions.

When I had lunch with the author of my first designer feature in a major glossy, she asks me ” How do you expect people to pronounce a name like yours? You don’t want to shorten it or change it? ” I answer, ” The same way they pronounce Behnaz Serafpour, or Rei Kawakubo.” A basic translation of the piece being how New York based up and coming designers are now international, and eclectic. Needless to say she was lovely, and I am proud to be written up alongside design talent such as Frank tell, and Prabal Gurung.

Check out the structure of this dress against the black and white backdrop. Sort of like an old hollywood grace kelly mixed with modern futurism. Italian Vogue is totally it for me. A designer’s dream come true since so many of my inspirations come from decade old issues that still look relevent and visionary. Italian vogue is art down to the last detail, including their take on actress Katerina Graham in this glow in the dark Haleh Nematzadeh dress.

Jeffrey Campbell shoes fill a very niche-y void in the footwear market.They manage to trailblaze when it comes to forward, well made, well priced shoes that leave every girl gagging for more. I am usually a straight to to the source type when it comes to my shoes: Vivienne, Miu Miu, Acne, and an occasional random like a Versace or Bernhard Willhelm, but this line is super good. I was thrilled when all Haleh Nematzadeh F/W 2010 collection pieces where used in their recent f/w 210 ad campaign styled by blogger and recent post friend Lala Lopez, accompanied by photographer wilfredo alexander.
