    Mischa Barton’s new look!

The dream of having celebrities who encapsulate the Haleh Nematzadeh vision enjoy wearing the clothes is a reality I have chosen to create with gratitude, and so with this I keep creating what moves me. I love seeing Mischa Barton in these pieces at a Moca art event, and IdeeFixeMag (sneak peek! ssh..) photo shoot below. Celebrity fashion comes and goes, true expression of style is here to stay.

Shopping and music at pat field!!

Bringing together what I love feels divine.  Had a great time yesterday spinning tunes, and occasionally shopping in between sets at the Patricia Field Bowery store.

Check out my stash of purchases.  I’ve been a huge fan of cult label Boy London, collecting items for quite some time. I stumbled upon my friend here working them and couldn’t focus on my set until I secured the leggings and a few other trinkits.

I am hardcore coveting: Ruth Jones footwear

Her first collection of footwear seen below “cohesively collate in concept from parasites and alien behaviour through attachment of foreign materials acting as foreign organisms and impregnated shapes.”

I don’t give a fuck what they are based on . Usually I’ll appreciate such things.  In this case  I’m just really wanting these shoes now, especially the over the knee pair.

The bubble futurist shape reminds me of a modern take on 90’s W&LT, just way sexier.

Bring it, a new interview !

Thank you to myfashioncogitation.com for the fun interview ! (click on image above to read).  The fashion establishment chooses to ignore the blogs continuing instead to give attention to a few top style sites, 2 or 3 famous bloggers, and print media.  Something is off in my book, revolutions always start with DIY, and many of them are giving print publications a run for their money.  Here’s to the future, and those tasteful style blogs that do it for the love.  I support you.

I THINK I’M IN LOVE WITH THESE FRINGE KNEE HIGHS…

You know an accessory is good when you can take a plain wardrobe pairing, and create some other story by adding them to your ensemble.

I have cultivated an incredible knee high collection for the past few seasons.  Great when transitioning from summer to fall, and fall to winter.  When you just can’t give up showing your legs: when those desperate few inches of skin can make all the difference: Here’s to our favorite naughty accessory.

These are sold out everywhere, and then I luckily stumbled upon lovelylegsandintimates.com,  a great hosiery site that carries a dazzling array of some pretty major tights besides these.   It’s just these that I’m obsessed with now.

To purchase a pair of these beauties from lovely legs and intimates, click on the link below

Paired with my current favorite low heeled boots, the Knee highs are less vampy, even if paired with a garter skirt which is separate.

Super casual with vintage PIL concert tee for running errands.

A night out on the town.  I’m really over wearing heels to any parties, unless It’s a function.  Anytime the knee highs are paired with any heels it’s too much, anyway.   Instead opt to wear them with some majorly unsexy footwear.

    Talking Dj’ing with socialscience.com

It’s fun to break on through to the nightlife side sometimes. Click on the image and read the rest of my recent dj interview with the girls over at socialscience.com.

M E E T  H A L E H… WE LOVE YOUR NAME HALEH, WHAT’S THE ORIGIN?THANK YOU! IT’S A PERSIAN NAME AND MEANS EITHER HALO, OR THE MIST IN THE MOON DURING A LUNAR ECLIPSE.  I KEPT HEARING ALL THESE DIFFERENT MEANINGS GROWING UP.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DJING? I’VE BEEN AWARE OF MUSIC MAKING AN IMPACT ON ME AT THE AGE OF 3., BUT STARTED DJ’ING A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO.

DESIGNING CAME FIRST TO YOU, WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START SPINNING? MY COLLECTION IS BASED ON THE INTERCHANGE BETWEEN HIGH FASHION, STREET CULTURE, AND MUSIC. I’VE ALWAYS LOVED  HOW DIFFERENT MUSICIAL MOVEMENTS HAVE INSPIRED FASHION OR VICE VERSA.  I ALWAYS CREATED SOUNDTRACKS NATURALLY TO CREATE A FEELING FOR EACH SEASON, SO IT SEEMED LIKE A NATURAL PROGRESSION.

Edwardian fashion is what I’m loving now

Sarah jean is in the spirit of only wearing clothes that are from another era, eccentric and have an owned quality to them.  I love it when people just commit to a time period  that works inherently with their looks and makes them seem as though they carry a recontextualized version of that  era with them wherever they go.  In this case edwardian looks inherently modern, breezy and is making me crave vintage Guinne sax eyelet dresses and a mass of curly hair to match.  Throw in a neon lip to throw off the look.

    SNEAKY PEEKY…

Red lights, red alert.  Here is a little sneak peak of me messing around in my new space,  Haleh Nematzadeh Archive and Studio.  If creation is a choice, I have made mine in this bathroom, along side that cheezy ass fake christian dior tube top I just can’t seem to get rid of.  Is it just me, or do any tops that say “Christian Dior” not have a very dated 90’s sex in the city kitchiness to them ?
